Blackrock Hospice Gardens
Since opening its doors in 2003, Blackrock Hospice has provided vital palliative care services that have helped tens of thousands of patients and their families.
In 2022 we embarked on a state-of-the art refurbishment project to upgrade the facilities at Blackrock Hospice costing c.€7.2m. Our aim was to create a high-quality and comforting environment for patients and their families. This included extending 12 patient bedrooms, upgrades to clinical, patient and staff areas, and a substantial landscaping project on our gardens which is ongoing.
Through your extraordinary kindness in supporting campaigns like Light Up A Life, you continue to help us improve the beautiful gardens in Blackrock Hospice.
The addition of bespoke planters on patio areas outside patient bedrooms and a diverse array of wonderful plants have added to the feeling of being immersed in nature.
Work still continues at a pace, and it is thanks to the generous support through campaigns like Light Up A Life that we can continue to develop these much-loved outdoor spaces for our patients and their families.
